This time next week Eden and I will be at her endo office…

This time next week she will have 1 more medical device inserted into her body

This time next week we will be able to SEE EXACTLY what her blood sugar is doing at any given moment..

To say I am excited is an understatement..

  • I have no idea what to expect.
  • She will only wear it for a week.
  • I’m hoping it isn’t too steep of a learning curve for my sleep deprived brain.

My fingers are crossed Eden likes it and can handle carrying around yet another device

For those of you not sure what I am talking about – you can read my other posts about it here..

I know this technology will be a game changer..

Next Thursday can’t come soon enough.

  1. When we first got the CGM we thought the same way, another device on her!! So I said I’ll let her wear it for 2 weeks get an idea how her blood sugars are running and then remove it!! Well one year later I rearly never take it off 😉 it is such a piece of mind and I don’t have to poke her finger that often. I feel comfortable when she goes to a friends house, I get more sleep, she plays outside with the neighbors freely, I just shout from the front door and ask her what her sugar is. She is 7 years old. You will love it 🙂

  2. We love it. My daugther is not pumping yet so this is the only thing she is wearing. I cannot imagine not having it. I hate when we have to wait 2 hours when we restart. I will say that in the beginning I think we checked her blood more because it kept alarming. It has slowed down now and is usually within 10-20 points from a finger stick. Some days it is spot on. I hope Eden loves it.

    • I’m sure we will love it too..! an adjustment period for sure – especially only being able to trial for a week… SO need the peace of mind right now! thanks for reading! 🙂
