Eden’s Effort started as a fundraising tool after a diagnosis of Type 1 Diabetes. At the time 8 year old Eden wanted to do something to find a cure and raise awareness for the disease that had turned her world upside down. In the process she chopped off her long hair to donate and raised over $7000 !!!

Fast forward 3 years and although we would LOVE to continue to raise much needed funds for JDRF to help find a cure – the mission of Eden’s Effort has changed to one of spreading awareness and an insight into the lives of a family living with Type 1 Diabetes.
Here, I will be posting symptoms, facts, every day details, our challenges and struggles with this disease.

Thank you so much for sharing your experiences and personal story. I was aware of Eden having diabetes but had no clue of the challenges that she faces and others with this awful disease.
